TrackForge provides local-first Chrome extensions for manually tracking public ecommerce product prices. Current V1 extensions include Pet Brand Price Tracker, Jewelry Store Price Tracker, Beauty & Skincare Price Tracker, Kitchen & Home Goods Price Tracker, Office & Desk Setup Price Tracker, and Fitness & Home Gym Price Tracker.
Current TrackForge Chrome extensions do not collect, transmit, sell, or share user data. They do not require login, accounts, payments, subscriptions, a backend server, a database, AI, analytics, external APIs, or remote code.
1. Local-First Extension Data
Product title, price, URL, domain, image URL, and timestamps are stored locally in `chrome.storage.local` only when the user manually tracks or updates a product. This product data stays in the user's browser and is not sent to TrackForge or to an external server.
Product tracking and price updates are user-triggered. The user opens a product page and chooses to track or update that product from the extension. TrackForge does not run an automatic background price crawler and does not automatically fetch saved product pages in the background.
2. CSV Export
CSV export is user-triggered and stays on the user's device. When the user chooses to export a watchlist, the extension creates a local CSV download from locally stored browser data. TrackForge does not receive a copy of the CSV file.
3. What TrackForge Does Not Collect
Current TrackForge Chrome extensions do not collect or transmit:
- Product watchlists
- Product titles, prices, URLs, domains, image URLs, or timestamps
- CSV export files
- Browsing history
- Personal account information
- Payment or subscription information
- Analytics events
- AI prompts or AI outputs
4. No Analytics, Backend, Remote Code, Or Background Crawler
Current TrackForge Chrome extensions do not use analytics, a backend server, a remote database, external APIs, remote code, or an automatic background price crawler. All extension code is packaged with the Chrome extension.
5. Chrome Permissions
TrackForge V1 extensions use minimal Chrome permissions for local product tracking: `activeTab`, `scripting`, `storage`, and `downloads`.
`activeTab` and `scripting` are used to read public product information from the current tab after user interaction. `storage` is used to save the local watchlist in Chrome storage. `downloads` is used when the user exports a CSV file.
6. Website Contact
If you contact TrackForge by email, we will receive the information you choose to include in that email so we can respond to your request. Do not send passwords, payment card numbers, private customer data, or sensitive personal information by email.
7. Children's Privacy
TrackForge is not intended for children under 13 years old. Current TrackForge Chrome extensions do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

If TrackForge adds accounts or paid services in the future, this policy will be updated before those services are enabled.
